The Name Oasis Del Norte, or “Oasis of the North,” is our way to bring a little piece of Mexico here to the Northland. I grew up working in my mother’s successful restaurant named “El Oasis” in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. It is still a favorite stop for locals today. Now, living up in the Duluth area, I just had to bring my mom’s recipes to the area. It reminds me of home and my mom, but more importantly, I can share my culture through my food. You can experience a part of Mexico when you eat my food. Our authentic tacos are “clean,” “simple,” and “fresh.” The idea is to be able to taste each of the layers of flavor. Nearly everything is made from scratch, and we can accommodate special diet requests from gluten-free to Keto. We source local ingredients when possible. Our carnitas pork is marinated in local craft beer. The beef comes from an area farmer, and the tomatoes are from Bay Produce in Superior.
